Who is the Crow at The Upstart Crow?
The Upstart Crow was a dream come true for Megan Anderson, a long time Delta resident, multi media artist and lover of all things bright and shiny. The idea of bringing her love of art and creativity to Ladner Village was proof positive to this one time single mother that you can have it all.
"There are these crazy busy days when I look up and I'm surrounded by all these supplies and possibilities just waiting to happen. I mean we're talking peacock feathers, paint and the most amazing hand crafted beads and silver... and I think to myself, ya know, this isn't so bad!"
As a committed partner, mother to 5 kids, a dog named birdie and a birdie named peaches she knows full well the desire of many who wish to have a creative outlet but don't feel they have the time.
"Making time to be creative is important to everyone's development.. young and old. It keeps us
young at heart and flexible in our thinking, I would encourage everyone
to just turn off the TV for an hour or two one day and try something new and have some fun! What is the worst thing that could happen? You'll have a few laughs and make some memories.. There is no right or wrong when it comes to being creative.'
