A couple of years ago Megan Anderson brought two important aspects of her life together; community and her love of painting and as a result Art in the Village was born. Often thought of as her 6th (!) child, Art in the Village was a way for Megan to make art and the creative process involved more accessible to all who make South Delta their home.

Soon to be 4 years old, Art in the Village has grown to bring a multitude of local artists as well as those from across the lower mainland together right here in our own backyard. During the summer, every other Saturday from 10-4pm a stroll down 48th Ave in the charming Ladner Village will find you a wide variety of artists working away on their chosen craft. All paintings on display are available for sale and the open air "street market" atmosphere makes for an excellent opportunity to chat and get to know some of our talented, home grown artisans. We are also happy to share that this free, family-friendly event is also wheel chair accessible so that all members of our community may come and enjoy the day. We do ask though that any four legged members of your family please be kept on a leash or you will risk going home with a purchase that you may not have expected to make. We would like to extend a HUGE HEARTFELT THANK-YOU to all the artists who joined us this year. This event can only be as good as the people involved and this year was outstanding. Thank you also for the continued support and thank-you to all our newbies as you were a breath of fresh air and we look forward to playing with you next year.
