Summer Classes.....the low down.
These classes are primarily for ages 9-14, with the exception of the face casting. Face casting is better suit for ages 11-16. Snack and drink included. Please remember these are art classes so be sure to wear appropriate clothing.
Beading ...
This class is a general intro to beading, good for any level of experience. Crimps (and types of crimps), stringing/beading wire, using leather ends and more. If student has some experience, instructor will work to increase the students knowledge and abilities.
Wirework...
This class will further expand the students beading abilities. Participants will learn the basics of wire work. This will include gauges and types of wire, making earrings, creating dangles and other inventive ways to incorporate wire in ones beading.

Hemp...
Different colours, design and patterns in hemp. Adding beads, shell and using carrier cord will all be explored.

Collage...
Students will start with a board and create their own expressive piece. We encourage student to bring a personal collection of magazine clippings, laser copied images and even old cards to be incorporated in their work.

Canvas Exploration...
Day one is spent preparing the canvas discussing and planning painting and loosely beginning to create the image on the canvas. Day two will be spent painting image and
finishing.

Face Casting and Mask Making...
Three day workshop.
Day one...Students will learn how to cast their face. This will be done in teams. Be sure to wear old clothes for this workshop.
Day two ...Students will sand and build up their casting to give it added character.
Day three....Students will paint, decorate and seal their mask.

Anklets and Bracelets...
Students will learn how to create standard and multi strand adornments. They will also learn how to add on dangles and bits to create interest.

We are also happy to create a private class or party. Round up four or more kids or adults and we will design a class just for your group.
