These classes are primarily
for ages 9-14.
Please remember these are
art classes so be sure to wear appropriate clothing.
Beading
... August 3rd, 2011 from 10am-12pm
This class is a general
intro to beading, good for any level of experience.
Crimps (and types of
crimps), stringing/beading wire, using leather ends and more.
If student
has some experience, instructor will work to increase the students knowledge
and abilities.
Cost: $18 supplies
included.
Hemp... August 9th, 2011
from 10am-12pm
This class is all about
Hemp! With experience or not the students will learn different knots and
techniques
using our favorite eco-friendly hemp
which now comes in variegated
hues and in so many fabulous summer inspired colors!
Beads will be added
onto the hemp to create a bracelet, anklet or necklace, students choice!
Cost: $18 supplies

Wirework...August
9th, 2011 from 1:30-3:30pm
This class will further
expand the students beading abilities.
Participants will learn the basics of
wire work. This will include gauges and types of wire, making earrings,
and
other inventive ways to incorporate wire in ones beading.
Cost: $18 supplies
included.
BeetleBug
Canvas... August 11th, 2011 from 10am-12pm
The first part of the
workshop is spent preparing the canvas
discussing and planning painting and
loosely beginning to create the BeetleBug image on the canvas.
The second
part of class will be spent painting the BeetleBug and creating a creature as
unique as the artist is!
Students will learn how to finish their canvas.
Cost: $20 supplies
included.
Artist
Trading Cards... August 23rd, 2011 from 10am-12pm
Students will start with a
set of blank trading cards and then transform each one into a unique piece of
art
using various paint, glitter, embellishing techniques.
The idea is to
then trade your cards with friends or classmates just as you would with
sporting cards!
How much fun is that?
